Donald Trump Wanted To ‘Unify’ America By Inviting Kanye West's Sunday Service Choir To White House
Former President Donald Trump wanted to bring Americans together by having Kanye West host a Sunday Service church event at the White House.
Ex-aide, Alyssa Farah Griffin — who previously served as the House's Communication's Director in 2020 — alleged that the 44th president wanted to "unify the country" by hosting the controversial rapper, now known as Ye, and his choir at the president's house.
"This is going to be dark," the former aide teased on Tuesday's episode of 'Watch What Happens Live.'
"To be honest, one day he wanted to have Kanye West come and do a church service on the White House lawn to 'unify the country,' and I can think of few things less unifying than that," the 35-year-old explained.
"But we were like, 'Not the time or place, sir,' " Griffin explained sarcastically with a laugh. The Chicago rapper publicly endorsed Trump in 2016, often wearing MAGA hats and provoking the public with pro-Trump rants and rhetoric.
The "Can't Tell Me Nothing" emcee made an appearance and a statement at the Oval Office back in October 2018, when he and Trump, 78, met alongside then-senior advisor Jared Kushner to discuss prison reform, jobs for African Americans, and violence in Chicago.

Despite the bombshell union, the 'Saint Pablo' artist didn't vote for Trump — or anyone for that matter. In 2020, he claimed he no longer supported Trump, but he wasn't done with politics just yet.
West — who is one of the top Grammy Award winners in history and is tied with Jay Z as the highest-decorated hip-hop artist — launched his own campaign in 2020, however, only gained an estimated 60,000 votes, per 'HuffPost.' Ye made the announcement on July 4, selecting fellow Christian preacher from Wyoming Michelle Tidball as a running mate.
The 47-year-old spent nearly $6 million on his failed run, per 'Billboard,' and although he announced that he'd run in 2024, he is not a candidate for office.
