A new season of VH1's 'Basketball Wives' — executive produced by O'Neal's ex-wife Shaunie Henderson — premiered on July 1. As the 11th season progresses, conversations of Shaq's romantic past, specifically his complicated infidelities, continue.

O'Neal and Shaunie Henderson were married from 2002-2011. The NBA star has openly admitted that the failure of the marriage was because of his inability to remain faithful.

According to 'Atlanta Black Star,' speculation O'Neal cheated on his wife with Laura Govan arose. Govan, 44, was the ex-fiancé of fellow pro-basketball player Gilbert Arenas.

During an episode of his podcast 'Gil's Arena,' he recalled the day that he heard the rumors was while he was playing a game for the Wizards.

"It was in Indiana," he said. "The Shaq sleeping with my ex [rumor] came out, and I'm at the free throw line and all I heard was, 'Shaq, Shaq, Shaq.' " Arenas said how "That wasn't the bad part. The bad part there was two kids behind the bench doing this.."

"I hit all backboard," he confessed.

Earlier this year, Shaunie published a memoir titled 'Undefeated.'

In an interview with 'PEOPLE,' she explained that "I always had a fear of sharing too much and of telling my story that involved anybody else. I didn't want to disrespect someone else's story, even if it was a part of mine, but as I get older and do more things in the entertainment industry, I found that people have a misconception of who I am."

Happy with her life and her five children, Shaunie, 49, emphasized that, when writing the book, the goal was never and remains never to be coming after Shaq's reputation.

"I'm literally telling my story and my journey, which he was a part of," she said. "So I've always been a little nervous about that, but I think I did a good job at sharing my story without destroying him because that's not my intent at all, ever."
