Jesse Williams will not be seen on the coming season of 'Only Murders in the Building.'

While Williams stole hearts as Tobert, the love interest of Mabel played by Selena Gomez, he revealed at a recent premiere to 'PEOPLE' "I'm not on that show anymore."

While Williams, 42, is not returning to the award-winning Hulu series, he is taking on a new project. He has produced a new docuseries titled 'Distilled.'

This new AMC+ series, which will premiere on the platform on August 1st, follows multiple Black entrepreneurs on their journey to bring their wine and spirits brands to the general market.

"We're talking about people who are making very high level products and existing in a space that we don't often get to see reflected. There are a lot of ways to be an entrepreneur that doesn't involve entertainment, sports or TikTok," he said. "You can make something, and this is a beautiful example of a family coming together to make something that they can be proud of and that everybody can enjoy."

The first family that the new series focuses on is the Williams family — no relation to the actor himself. The Williams family runs a distillery in Arkansas called the Delta Dirt Distillery where they make high quality vodka and gin.

The 'Grey's Anatomy' alum found the Williams' story moving and relatable and is sure the public will feel the same.

"I had a real interest in watching a family be able to hang on to their resources through all of the ways that it can be stolen, willfully or passively, indirectly or directly, stolen from you," the Chicago native said. "Land is wealth. Land is generational value that you can pass down to your family. You can do a lot with it. And a lot of us have had it taken from us ... So to be able to watch the Williams family be able to cultivate something really special and personal and bring their extended family in to all chip in to make something together is really beautiful."
