Selena Gomez Claps Back At Accusations She Underwent Cosmetic Surgery: 'Leave Me Alone'
Selena Gomez wants to be left alone.
The 'Only Murders in the Building' star has been a source of media scrutiny for some time. Many are constantly picking apart the star's appearance, publicly debating which cosmetic procedures the actress has undergone.
According to 'The Blast,' the 32-year-old came across a video that was posted on TikTok back in 2023 by Marissa Barrionuevo. In the video, Barrionuevo claimed Gomez's struggle with lupus contributed to the perceived change in her appearance.

Gomez, coming across this year old video just this week, took to the comments section to set the record straight.
"Honestly I hate this. I was on stripes because of flare up. I have Botox," she wrote. "That's it. Leave me alone."
Barrioneuvo posted a follow-up video, apologizing for any offense that her previous before-and-after video may have caused Gomez. The TikToker expressed that it is, "never ever ever" her intention to "tear people down." Furthermore, her intention is always to do it with "grace."

The "Ice Cream" singer remains a trailblazer for those looking to break from the traditional beauty mold with her cosmetics brand Rare Beauty.

"Personally, I felt that there's a very unrealistic standard when it comes to the cosmetic world and it makes me a little sad for my generation," she said at the TIME100 Summit in April, 'InStyle' reported. "And for anyone to look at something that's probably touched up and made to look nice is... I just wanted to break that down."
