Erica Ash, From BET's 'Real Husbands Of Hollywood' And Starz's 'Survivor's Remorse,' Dead At 46
Actress Erica Ash has died.
She was 46.
TVOne announced her death on Monday.
Comedian Loni Love confirmed her friend's passing with tributes on social media. "I am sad to confirm my friend and fellow actress Erica Ashe's passing.... Erica was talented and hilarious whether it was the show Survivor's Remorse or Madtv she would put her all into her work," Love, 53, wrote. "She would always just be there.. now she's gone.. My sincere condolences to her family and fans."
BET Network also honored Ash's life in a heartfelt paid tribute on Instagram.
"Known for being equal parts witty and funny, Erica starred in BET favorites such as legal drama "In Contempt" and reality spoof "Real Husbands of Hollywood". We send our deepest condolences and love to her parents, siblings, friends, and family. Fly high Queen," the cable channel wrote, with a white dove emoji.
The outlet reported she died after a battle with cancer.
The Florida native was a cast member on the sketch comedy programs 'MADtv' and 'The Big Gay Sketch Show.' She went on to star in Starz's sitcom 'Survivor's Remorse' as M'Chuck from 2014-2017.
Ash's date of death have not been made public.
Tisha Campbell Martin also shared her grief on Instagram Monday afternoon.
"God I will miss you," Campbell, 55, wrote in a caption alongside of a selfie of the pair. "With all the ugliness that this world and sometimes our industry brings there are few among us that are the LIGHT and you are that for so many. You are talented, you are funny, you are brilliant and you are flying with much earned wings."
"My God Erica this is a rough one man!!!!," she continued. "I love you my little sister. RIP."
