It seems King Charles and Prince William furiously clashed over the safety surrounding the royal family members flying in a helicopter.

According to a new book, royal correspondent and author Robert Jobson claimed the king "raised concerns" over the prince's helicopter use with Princess Kate and the children, leading to what allegedly became a heated exchange.

Per the upcoming book, 'Catherine, the Princess of Wales' — currently available for pre-order — the monarch has had to buckle down on the family's use of helicopters due to safety issues.

It was reported that Charles, 75, went so far as to serve William "a formal document acknowledging the risk involved and taking full responsibility for his actions," per Jobson's account.

Apparently an ongoing concern, his late mother Queen Elizabeth II also warned the prince against traveling by helicopter to Anmer Hall in Norfolk from the royal Kensington Palace, per Jobson. The stress surrounding the method of travel stems back to 1967, when a helicopter crash killed her flight captain. Since then, the late monarch, who died in September 2022, maintained the position and "didn't hold back."

A source described the Princess of Wales as someone who "always tries to see both sides of any dispute," mentioning that the 42-year-old is the "emotionally mature" one of the marriage.

"I think the [king] understands Catherine is a good influence on the entire family. He loves and truly appreciates everything she does," a palace source told the author, per 'The New York Post.'

Although William doesn't "blame either of his parents" for his problems, he "feels the fact that his father put work first had a detrimental impact on him when he was growing up and didn't help their father/son relationship," an insider detailed to Jobson, per the news outlet.

The biography of the Princess of Wales is set for an August 6 release.
