Floyd Mayweather Jr. Literacy Rumors Resurface Following '15 Questions For Couples' TikTok With Girlfriend
A recent video resurfaced illiterate rumors surrounding Floyd Mayweather Jr.
The undefeated former boxer appeared with his girlfriend in a TikTok where they played '15 Questions for Couples.'
While the activity was supposed to be a lighthearted game played between partners, the video sparked concerns from fans, according to the 'Atlanta Black Star,' whether or not Mayweather can read.

Mayweather's girlfriend, TikTok influencer Gallienne Nabila, asked the retired athlete, "Who is more book smart?" in the video. One commenter wrote, "I think we all knew it wasn't Mayweather lmao." Another commented: "The book question was the easiest to answer since 50 Cent exposed that Flloyd [sp] Mayweather can't read." Another wrote, "Boy don't let 50 see this video he will ride that question all day long."
In 2012, Mayweather and 50 Cent, real name Curtis James Jackson III, started The Money Team Promotions, 'ESPN' reported. However, their time working together quickly came to an end which left the two making jabs at each other in the public eye.

One such jab included the 'Many Men' rapper challenging Mayweather, 47, to read a book on camera. He also challenged the boxer to read a page from 'Harry Potter' or 'Cat in the Hat.'
There have been other instances of Mayweather seemingly being unable to read. When he appeared on 'The Breakfast Club,' an audio recording came out of the athlete struggling to read the radio copy in 2015.
That same year, Leonard Ellerbe, the CEO of Mayweather Promotions, said it wasn't worth responding to 50 Cent's claims.
"If I would have done that, there would have been more stories written and more talk about that, and at the end of the day, for what?" Ellerbe said, according to 'EuroSport.' "What do I have to defend that for? I know firsthand, as does anybody who has anything to do with our promotion, our business, that when it comes to reading, Floyd can read perfectly fine."
