Travis Kelce Predicted To Dump Taylor Swift As He Seeks $100 Million Podcast Deal
Taylor Swift and her boyfriend Travis Kelce's relationship is going strong nearly a year after they started dating, but Bill Maher thinks the NFL player may end things with the pop superstar sooner or later.
Maher, 68, predicted that Kelce, 34, would dump Swift, 34, eventually while chatting with "Hawk Tuah Girl" Haliey Welch on Monday's episode of his "Club Random" podcast.
"He's gonna dump her, though, you know that?" the comedian and political commentator speculated of the couple.
"With her, it's like the Gatorade at the Super Bowl, you know you're gonna get dumped. You just don't know when," Maher said of Swift.
Maher went on to slam Swift as "very tacky" for writing songs about her exes and suggested that the "Anti-Hero" singer should "write a song called 'Maybe It's Me.'"
The "Real Time with Bill Maher" host also rolled his eyes at Swift wearing Chiefs red to Kelce's games.
"I'm sure she's a lovely person, but the whole thing with the football player," Maher said. "I just felt like 35 was a little old to be like, 'My boyfriend's a football player and I wear his jersey to the game with his number on it!' I mean, come on."
However, Welch, a longtime Swiftie, immediately came to the "Cruel Summer" hitmaker's defense.
"Whatever makes her happy. If that's what she wants to do and it makes her happy, it ain't got nothin' to do with me," the viral social media star said.
While Maher is not optimistic that Kelce and Swift will last, the two have been loved-up since going public with their relationship in September 2023.
Swift attended 13 of Kelce's Kansas City Chiefs games last season, including his team's Super Bowl win.
During his off-season, Kelce followed Swift around the globe as she continued the international leg of her "Eras Tour"
The 14-time Grammy winner even brought her boyfriend on stage during a performance of "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart" at a London stop in June.
"It's definitely tough to be apart but they do everything they can to make it work and show up for each other," an unnamed insider told People of the couple last week. "They're so in love and very, very happy together. All their friends and family can see it."
In addition to his love life and football career, Kelce has found success as a podcaster.
The Wall Street Journal reported that he and his brother Jason Kelce are seeking a $100 million deal for their podcast "New Heights."
The Kelce brothers reportedly are negotiating a deal with Wondery, whose parent company is Amazon, but the details of the pact have not been disclosed as of this writing.
