Flavor Flav Randomly Offers Financial Help To An Olympian Who ‘Can’t Pay Rent,' Promises To Support Her In Person
It appears Flavor Flav is taking his philanthropy role seriously when he randomly offered to help an Olympian who claimed she couldn't pay her rent.
Social media is commending the "Fight the Power" rapper who maintains he is a man of his word after he came to the rescue of X user Veronica, @VmFraley, who candidly admitted that despite going to the Olympics, she's struggling to make ends meet.
"I compete in the Olympic Games TOMORROW and can't even pay my rent," the athlete confessed in a post early Thursday.
"My school only sent about 75% of my rent while they pay football players (who haven't won anything [laughing emoji] enough to buy new cars and houses [thumbs down emoji]," she concluded. Hours later, Flav offered coin and encouragement, promising he would send her financial help immediately so she could focus on the Olympics.
"I gotchu...DM me and I'll send payment TODAY so you don't have to worry bout' it TOMORROW...and imma be rooting for ya tomorrow LETZ GO!!!" the 65-year-old replied. The 'Flavor of Love' star also offered to come and support her in person in Paris.
Adding a post with her picture included, Flav — real name William Drayton Jr. — simply asks, "LMK [let me know] what time."

The Public Enemy rapper has been known for his work in philanthropy recently. The New York native put his money where his mouth was again when he sponsored the U.S. Women's Water Polo team, supporting their dream to win gold.
The U.S. team annoucned that Flav signed a five-year sponsorship deal as the official hypeman of the country's womens and mens National teams. The rapper also went viral in his mission to revive Red Lobster, claiming he'd do "anything and everything" to save the family establishment.
