Britney Spears Announces Biopic Based On Her Best-Selling Memoir: 'Stay Tuned'
The Princess of Pop is heading to the silver screen.
Britney Spears has been an icon of the modern world since the early 2000s. From her hits such as "Oops...I Did It Again" (2000) and 'Toxic' (2003) to the historic #FreeBritney movement, the singer's life has been a source of public consumption for years.
Now, the world can take a deep dive into the life of the performer with a new Britney Spears' biopic.
According to 'The Ankler,' the biopic will be based off her memoir, '"The Woman in Me," Spears penned.
The memoir, released in October 2023, chronicles a lionshare of the 42-year-old's life. It starts with her tumultuous childhood in Louisiana, her new-found fame, and her relationship with Justin Timberlake. It is yet unknown what exactly will be shown in the film.
Spears took to Twitter, now known as X, to announced the upcoming film on Thursday.
"Excited to share with my fans that I've been working on a secret project with Marc Platt," she wrote. "He's always made my favorite movies...stay tuned."
