A thoughtless social media attention grab has once again taken lives too soon.

Antione Hampton died in a car crash that also claimed the lives of two others and injured five, including two children, per the 'New York Post.'

The incident occurred in Memphis, Tennessee, on Sunday. Hampton, who was filming an illegal street takeover, videoed a group of cars doing donuts in the middle of the street.

Thirty minutes after sharing the video of the street takeover on Facebook, Hampton, 22, was recorded speeding in his car. His Infiniti QX70 smashed into another driver's Lexus SUV. The Lexus was driven by Lachell Boyd, a former teacher, and her friend, Terry Baggett, was also in the car. Both were killed alongside Hampton himself.

The majority of the individuals that were injured were left in critical condition. A 21-year-old, a 23-year-old, and a 17-year-old all required immediate medical attention. The 10 and 14-year-old also sustained injuries.

In an interview with 'Fox 13,' Tanya Allen, a witness to the crash, called it "a big mess."

"The cars were mangled, and the horns were going off. I heard a bunch of screaming, so I ran to the side of my house, grabbed my ladder to look at the road," she recalled. She described the moment she saw her friend, Lachell Boyd, get hit. "I'm like, 'That's her car! Omg! That's her car, that's my neighbor, that's my friend.' "

Allen also provided suggestions to help making driving safer in the area.

"I think the far right lane needs to be turned into a bike lane, so cars will not drive in there," she said. "It'll give the drivers that are coming up to make that left or right an opportunity to see better. And maybe put some boulders behind all of these apartments and houses that they have over there that can so easily be ran into off after, you know, off of that, like it's an expressway."
