Aggressive Turbulence During Korean Air Flight Leaves 14 Injured: 'It Was Chaotic'
One flight was ready to shake things up.
A recent Korean Air flight was met with so much turbulence that 14 passengers were left injured after the flight landed, per 'TMZ.'
Flight 197, heading from South Korea to Mongolia, had 281 passengers onboard. According to the 'New York Post,' one passenger recalled "The turbulence started around the time people were finished eating. The airplane sharply plunged so people were screaming and the means were all knocked over, it was chaotic."
Not only was food flung over the cabin, passengers were also launched from their seats into the air, hitting their heads on the overhead bins.
The story was confirmed by travel blogger and passenger Kim Hae-in. "People who weren't wearing seat belts shot up into the air. One passenger bounced really high, hit their head on the ceiling and dropped into the aisle," she wrote on her blog, per 'Korea JoongAng Daily.'
Flight staff provided painkillers to injured passengers, and those who had been hurt were immediately helped by a Mongolian medical team upon landing.

In response to rising turbulence, the airline reportedly stopped offering Shin Ramyun during flights, 'Firstpost' reported.
The meal requires water to be boiled and the risk of injury has increased with the rising shakiness of aircrafts.
