50 Cent Says Dame Dash Has 'No Money Now' After He Criticized His Contract With Eminem And Dr. Dre
In a new interview, 50 Cent is blasting Dame Dash for his previous comments about his first record contract.
50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III, appeared on 'Million Dollarz Worth of Game' podcast in an interview published Sunday.
The Queens native criticized Dash, 53, for reportedly attempting to downplay his record contract.
"The only person that pointed out a million dollars was no money was Damon Dash and he has no money now," 50 Cent said. The 49-year-old signed to Interscope/Aftermath/Shady in March 2002.
The "In da Club" rapper imitated the music executive, saying, "After you get you a watch, chain, look out for the homies and then do this, then it's nothing."
"I'm from 134th Street," 50 Cent added. "A million dollars is a lot of money. I think I hit the lotto. How are you gonna say that it's no money? I just never forgot that because of how it felt."
Dame Dash has been candid about his recent financial woes after auctioning off his one-third ownership share in Roc-A-Fella — with a minimum bid of $1.2 million, per 'Billboard.'
According to 'Complex,' Dash reportedly owes $197,000 in child support and nearly $9 million in taxes. Producer Josh Webber sued the father of four in March 2022 for copyright infringement and defamation.
Aside from coming for the Roc-A-Fella Records' co-founder, 50 Cent also spoke about his beef with Rick Ross during the interview with hosts Gille Da Kid and Wallo 267.
"Nothing else works for him outside of mentioning me," he said. "When things get bad, he mentions me."
The 'Get Rich or Die Tryin' actor also took verbal shots at Ross' home.
"You see that big white elephant, that property that he lives at? It costs more than the nightclubs. He's in the nightclubs. We know what they give you," he said. "He can stay until he's a squatter, holding on to the leg of the chair that moves. But that's what it is. It's just part of a presentation."
Ross, 48, replied to his rival's comment online, per the outlet, questioning Fif's loyalty to Dr. Dre when Kendrick Lamar and Drake were dissing each other. "I thought Dr. Dre put you on," said Ross, born William Leonard Roberts II. "Dr. Dre was the set. I thought you was loyal to Dr. Dre."
The Miami, Florida, rapper added: "You mean to tell me you went with the Canadian over Dr. Dre who you say changed your life?"
