Gia Allemand, Dead 'Bachelor' Star, Mom Releases Tribute VIDEO & Sets Funeral Date
Public visitation and funeral dates have been announced for former Bachelor star Gia Allemand, who was declared brain dead on Aug. 14 at the age of 29.
A public visitation will be held Wednesday Aug. 21 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Papavero Funeral Home in Maspeth, NY. A funeral service will be held at Trinity Grace Church of Chelsea in New York City at 11 a.m. the following day on Thursday, Aug. 22.

Allemand's mother, Donna Micheletti, posted an online tribute video and obituary for her daughter on the Papavero Funeral Home website.
"Loving girlfriend 'Petrie' of Ryan 'Snuggy' Anderson, beloved daughter and little princess of Donna Micheletti and stepdaughter of Tony Micheletti, loving sister of Dylan and Erick, most cherished granddaughter of Marie (Nonna) Coltrinari, devoted Godchild of Fred and Annemarie Coltrinari, dear cousin of Brian, Ellen, Kevin and Julie, and also survived by her dear dog Bentley," the obituary read.

Micheletti added several picture slides of Allemand with friends and family in a video titled "In Celebration Of Gia Allemand. The images show the former model with friends from high school, the reality star bowling and riding a horse, screenshots of Allemand on the ABC series and cuddling with her dog Bentley.
Allemand was found by her boyfriend, NBA Pelicans player Ryan Anderson, after an suicide attempt on Monday, Aug. 12, Enstars previously reported. She was taken that night to University Hospital in New Orleans, where she remained on life support until Wednesday, Aug. 14.

In a statement released on Aug. 16, Micheletti set the record straight about the rumors surrounding her daughter's last days.
"As her mother, I am well aware of Gia's close friends and her best friends and I am personally going on record to refute all statements to the media out there thus far, with the exception of official statements we have released through publicist Penelope Jean Hayes, and those jointly with Ryan Anderson's NBA team representation," the statement read.
"After the funeral, I do intend to speak about my dear daughter's life and death, and will do so in an open disclosure way with a trusted media source. Thank you for all those truly concerned and God bless."
