Selena Gomez ended all hopes of a reconciliation with Justin Bieber after her family gave her an ultimatum that she must choose her ex-boyfriend or them, according to a new report.
The former couple reportedly looked like they had hopes of getting back together at Gomez's 21st birthday party on July 27, where they were spotted kissing, cuddling and even leaving the bash together. However, the Come & Get It singer will not rekindle her romance with the 19-year-old Canadian after her family threatened to leave her life if she does.

The latest issue of Life & Style reportedly explained that the day after the pair's romantic evening at Gomez's birthday party, her mother, Mandy Teefey, and her stepfather Brian sat her down and told her that if Bieber did not get out of her life, they would.
"They told her this was the last straw," a friend allegedly told the publication. "They told her Justin was a really bad person. They said she has to rid him from her life, otherwise they can't be a part of her life - her new baby sister included."
Gomez was reportedly devastated by the fact that she was put in a position where she had to choose between her family and her former lover, but in the end she chose her family.
Even before the ultimatum from her family, it seemed like Gomez was ready to move on from her romance with Bieber. The Spring Breakers star told The Associated Press in an interview published on July 26, a day before her birthday party, that she is in fact single. When asked if she thinks the media plays up her relationship with the Beauty and a Beat singer, Gomez's answer included, "I've known him for a really long time and we enjoy each other's company every now and then. But I'm definitely single and enjoying being that."
