Taylor Swift Harry Styles Breakup: She Forgives Him Eight Month Later With Help from Ed Sheeran?
Taylor Swift has reportedly forgiven ex-boyfriend Harry Styles eight months after their break up with encouragement by her tour buddy, singer Ed Sheeran.
The 23-year-old I Knew Your Were Trouble singer split from the One Direction band member in January after two months of dating. She may have had strong feelings against him after the breakup, but Swift finally decided to move on with the help fo Sheeran - who is currently on a U.S tour with the country star promoting her latest album Red.
"Harry was ready to move on months ago and try to remain friends, but Taylor hadn't let go of what happened," a source told The Sun. "Ed didn't mention Harry for a while, but over the past few weeks Taylor started bringing him up."
"She made it clear that she didn't want frostiness between her and Harry any more. She feels she has moved on to a better place -- and Harry should know that," the insider added. "The tension has thawed. Ed and Harry had a full catch-up at the Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles. The next step will be Harry and Taylor meeting at an awards ceremony."
Both Swift and Styles are nominated at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, held at Brooklyn, N.Y.'s Barclay's Stadium on Aug. 25. One Direction will present at the awards ceremony and are also up for a brand-new VMA category called Best Song of the Summer for Best Song Ever. Swift is nominated in the categories of Video of the Year and Best Female Video, both for I Knew You Were Trouble. No word yet if she will attend the awards ceremony.
Swift graced the April 2013 issue of Vanity Fair and her cover story revealed the reason behind her split with Styles, saying everything spiraled downward following a text message from the United Kingdom native about him and another girl. Swift broke things off when she saw a picture of Styles "making out" with a friend, but he eventually convinced her to take him back.
"But the whole time she says she feels like he's looking at every girl," a source, who Swift allowed to speak on her behalf, told the magazine about the former couple.
When the former were in London together, Styles "disappeared " one evening and "after that it was like he just didn't want to keep going." Styles' rep, however, said the claims are "undeniably false."
