Haliey Welch, better known online as "Hawk Tuah," broke her weeks-long silence on Friday morning following the catastrophic collapse of her meme coin, $HAWK, which left investors reeling.

In a statement shared on social media, Welch claimed she is "fully cooperating" with legal efforts to hold those responsible accountable.

"I take this situation extremely seriously and want to address my fans, the investors who have been affected, and the broader community," Welch wrote, directing those impacted to contact Burwick Law, the firm filing a lawsuit over the alleged "rug pull."

The $HAWK coin, launched on Dec. 4, initially skyrocketed in value by 900%, nearing half a billion dollars. However, it plummeted by 95% shortly after, triggering accusations of a scam in which developers profited at the expense of unsuspecting investors.

Welch's abrupt disappearance and blasé remarks during an X Spaces stream—where she signed off with the now-infamous line, "Anyhoo, I'm going to go to bed"—only fueled public outrage.

Her Friday post marks her first public acknowledgment of the incident since. While Welch expressed commitment to assisting the investigation, online reactions were less forgiving. Memes parodying her sudden departure and declarations of innocence have flooded social media, with many questioning her sincerity.

The lawsuit continues to unfold as Burwick Law seeks restitution for those impacted. Whether Welch's involvement will absolve her of liability—or pull her deeper into the scandal—remains to be seen.
