Robert Pattinson's First Post-Kristen Stewart Split Interview: Talks 'Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn- Part 2' Never Said Goodbye To Cast
Robert Pattinson discussed Twilight for the first time since he broke up with Kristen Stewart and shared how he really feels about the film's hysteria.
In the German edition of Interview magazine's September 2013 issue, Pattinson revealed he did not say goodbye to cast on the last day of shooting the final installment, Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn-Part 2. After filming naked in cold temperatures for the last two weeks of shooting, he didn't stick around to give the cast a final farewell.
"The actual last day of filming had been in Canada...all we did for two weeks was shooting scenes in which we were naked; so that [last] night it was freezing cold and horrible," Pattinson reportedly told German Interview. "The whole crew just wanted to go. Just like me. I didn't even say goodbye to all the guys but just took off."
Pattinson confirmed the rumor that he took Valium to relax before he auditioned for the role of Edward Cullen for the first time.
"Yup, and the pill really worked it's magic - if only that one time," Pattinson confessed. "After I knew I got the role, I thought Valium would be my thing, like the magic drug that gets me through all these horrible castings."

The 27-year-old suggested he was ready to end filming the franchise earlier than planned at times, however, he enjoyed the highlights of working in the Caribbean.
"There have been so many 'last days of shooting,'" he said. "One of them was in the Caribbean, on Saint Thomas, that was fantastic. Most of the time, we shot during bad weather. But there the sun was shining; we were at the beach and made out in the sea the whole time."
Pattinson said he is shocked at the continued loyalty and dedication to him and the Twilight franchise. He was cool with the obsession until he took on the lead of Cullen and then it became too much for him to handle.
"Twilight has its own parallel world, its own fan culture that has been forming on the net since day one," he said of the fan base known as "Twi-hards". "And in an intense way that has never existed before. ...So actually really exciting - at least up to point when I became part of that phenomenon."

Pattinson admitted he had no idea that Twilight would become the phenomenon that it became, but he's happy that it's over. He confirmed that he will be working with director Werner Herzog or his next film. He will play the role of H. P. Lovecraft and they will film in Morocco.
