Drake New Album 2013 Cover PHOTO for 'Nothing Was The Same' Has Rapper as a Boy
Drake revealed the dual cover artwork to his upcoming album Nothing Was The Same via his blog on Wednesday.
One cover shows Drake as a toddler with a afro pick in his hair. The boy's profile is visible as he stands against a bright blue sky. The artwork is similar to past rap album covers, including Nas' Illmatic and Lil' Wayne's Tha Carter III. Both showed the rappers as young boys, as well. The album's vibrant second cover is Drake in his present state wearing a gold chain. The rapper's left profile is seen against the same blue background.

Drake will perform Started From The Bottom, the forthcoming album's lead single. The song peaked at No. 6 on Billboard and the music video has garnered over 74 million views on YouTube. The record's second single, Hold On, We're Going Home, was released in early August.
"This album is about growth," Drake recently told Rolling Stone. "When I play it for people, they ask, 'Who's that rapping?' I'm like, 'That's me.'"
The Canadian native also believes that fans will fall in love with the emotional song Connect.
"That one hits you in the heart," he also told the magazine. "It's painful and beautiful at the same time."
Drake's third album will be the follow-up to 2011's Take Care. The rapper's sophomore album peaked at No. 1 on Billboard, as did his debut album Thank Me Later in 2010. Take Care also won the Grammy for Best Rap Album at the 2013 award show and sold more than a million copies in the U.S. alone.
