Beyonce & Jay Z PHOTOS Throughout the Years, Hitting the 10-Year Mark
Beyonce and Jay Z met 10 years ago and though at first they only collaborated on music, they eventually took their romance to the altar by getting married and now parenting their first child together, 1-year-old daughter Blue Ivy.
Celebrating their 10-year mark, Beyonce posted on Instagram a flashback photo of the recording artists filming a scene for her 2003 single Crazy in Love. She captioned the image, "10YearsOfDangerouslyInLove." The song is the first of their musical collaborations for any of Beyonce's albums but a year earlier, in 2012, they recorded '03 Bonnie & Clyde for Jay Z's album The Blueprint 2: The Gift & The Curse. They also collaborated on Beyonce's track Deja Vu.
Most recently Jay Z joined Beyonce on stage during The Mrs Carter Show World Tour.
The couple remain private about their relationship - rarely addressing their romance or marriage in interviews - though at times Beyonce posts on social media photos of her with her husband. Since Blue's birth in January 2012, a few photos have also surfaced on Twitter and social media of the baby with her mother and father.
Beyonce let the whole world know she was pregnant during her 2011 Video Music Awards performance of Love On Top. At the end of the song, the singer opened the button of her jacket and rubbed her baby bump.
Beyonce and Jay Z secretly married on April 4, 2008. They celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary with a trip to Cuba.
Knowles talked about much her husband has changed her life for the better in an interview with Oprah Winfrey earlier in 2013.
"I would not be the woman I am if I did not go home to that man," she told Winfrey on Oprah's Next Chapter. "And, it just gives me such a foundation. That foundation is so important in a relationship and just to have someone that you just like, you know, is so important and someone that is honest."
In her HBO documentary Life Is But a Dream, which in February, Beyonce described knowing that God is real when she looks at her husband.
"God is real and God lives inside of me and inside of all of us and it doesn't matter where I am, I know that and I feel it," Beyoncé said. "Like right now I'm hot- it's a tingling. It's love. I feel it when I look at my child, I feel it when I look at my husband. It's God."
"It's every woman's dream to feel this way about someone," she added.
