Singer Sheryl Crow has ditched her Tesla in protest of Elon Musk's growing political influence, sharing a viral video of the moment on Instagram.

"There comes a time when you have to decide who you are willing to align with. So long, Tesla," the 63-year-old musician captioned the post, taking direct aim at Musk, who serves as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency under President Donald Trump.

Crow also announced she would be donating the proceeds from the sale to NPR, an organization she says is "under threat by President Musk," in an effort to support independent journalism.

The nine-time Grammy winner has long been outspoken on political issues. She previously criticized Jason Aldean for his controversial song "Try That in a Small Town" and, at the Kennedy Center Honors in Washington, D.C., expressed concern over America's political climate, saying, "We are in rugged times."

Explaining her decision to part ways with her Tesla, Crow added, "My parents always said ... you are who you hang out with."
