Katy Perry will be closing the MTV Video Music Awards 2013 underneath the iconic Brooklyn Bridge.

On Sunday, Aug. 25, Perry will perform offsite, singing her hit single Roar, the debut single off her upcoming third pop album Prism, Us Weekly confirmed.

She will perform underneath the city landmark after slightly different plans didn't work out. "She was supposed to perform on top of the Brooklyn Bridge but the city wouldn't give her the permit," a source told the magazine.

The MTV VMAs 2013 include a pre-show performance by Ariana Grande and Austin Mahone, and a main show stocked with huge names like Bruno Mars, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Miley Cyrus, Robin Thicke, Katy Perry, Kanye West and the winner of this year's Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, Justin Timberlake.

The annual music awards will go down live on August 25th at 9 pm EST from Brooklyn, New York.

Get ready for some stellar performances, awesome awards, and fabulous fashion.
