Jennifer Hudson Trial; Actress Excuses Herself from Courtroom
The trial continues for the horrific murders of Jennifer Hudson's family. The Oscar-winner reportedly excused herself from the courtroom today during the murder trial of William Balfour, who is accused of murdering her mother, brother and nephew in 2008.
TMZ reported that grisly photos of Hudson's 7 year-old-nephew were shown as evidence in the courtroom when the singer/actress excused herself. Hudson's nephew Julian King was found in a car with two gun wounds to his head in 2008. William Balfour reportedly cried when the pictures were shown by the prosecutor in court.
Hudson took the witness stand earlier this week. According to ABCNews, She testified: "None of us wanted her to marry William. We did not like how he treated her."
Hudson began to cry softly as she spoke about her family, especially her nephew.
Celebrities' site TMZ.com also reported that Hudson broke down when prosecutor Veryl Gambino asked her about the last time she saw her family and when he handed her a photo of her mom.
Balfour who married Hudson's sister Julia, is accused of the killings of Darnell Donerson, brother Jason Hudson and nephew Julian King in October 24, 2008.
Balfour killed them out of anger when he thought that Julia was dating another man, according to Gambino.
The trial started, which started Monday, is expected to last a month.
