"Sh-- is nuts!!!" he replied on Twitter on Sunday.
Garrett wrote three songs for Cyrus' forthcoming record and he said they are personal to her.
"An album is like an artist's diary... she talks about her life and what it means to her," he said. "I can't wait for people to get the opportunity to hear it."
The album will also feature Big Sean, Ludacris, Pharrell and Future. But, despite all the help from these hip-hop artists, the album won't fall into the rap genre.
"It's just gonna sound like her and her influences, but it's not that hip-hop heavy," Pharrell told MTV News. "That's not what she does, that's not where she comes from. It's a part of what she loves, which is a very big difference."
The former Disney star took to Twitter to express her excitement for the album.
"If you don't know why my record is called BANGERZ you'll know as soon as you hear it. Nothin but #BANGERZ," she tweeted earlier in August.
She's also particularly excited to work with Future.
"All his music is everywhere. But he's just someone that I really...I love working with. I love writing with him," she told MTV News.
