Miley Cyrus stole the show as she stripped down to her underwear for the raunchy performance of Blurred Lines with Robin Thicke at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday. Now, Thicke's mother is opening up about the racy showstopper, which included giant teddy bears and plenty of twerking.
"I just keep thinking of her mother and father watching this. Oh, Lord, have mercy," Gloria Loring, Robin Thicke's mother told omg! Insider. "I was not expecting her to be putting her butt that close to my son. The problem is now I can never 'unsee' it."
During the performance, Cyrus twerked and grinded against Robin, sticking out her tongue whiling dancing around in a skimpy, nude bra and bootie shorts.

Despite the criticism the performance has gotten, Gloria did find a few good things about the act.
"Him? Loved it. I love that suit, the black and white suit. I don't understand what Miley Cyrus is trying to do. I just don't understand. I think she's misbegotten in this attempt of hers," Loring said. "And I think it was not beneficial."
“Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke perform” brought in more than 300,000 tweets per minute, according to data gathered by the social network. By comparison, last year's show had a peak of 98,300 tweets per minute. Even last year’s Super Bowl blackout couldn’t compare - that moment brought in 230,000 tweets per minute, NY Daily News reported.

The Parents' Television Council also chimed in, voicing their outrage at MTV's decision to let Cyrus loose on stage in front of impressionable teenage viewers.
"This is unacceptable," a spokesperson for the group said in a statement. "MTV continues to sexually exploit young women by promoting acts that incorporate 'twerking' in a nude colored bikini."
