Bombshell Bollywood star Deepika Padukone has reportedly auditioned for a role in the upcoming high-speed action flick, Fast and Furious 7.

Reports suggest that the Bollywood actress is being eyed up for the role of a science and technology expert rather than just being eye candy in the seventh installment, out in 2014.

Mid-Day reported that casting agent Andrew Webster has been talking to numerous Bollywood beauties about appearing in the latest installment of the fast car franchise. Other Bollywood actresses being considered for the role in the currently filming Fast and Furious 7 include Rekha Rana, Chitrangada Singh and Kangna Ranaut.

Movie casting has been picking up with Thai action star Tony Jaa recently signing onto the film. In the film Jaa, who is best known for his Ong Bak movies, will be going head-to-head with either Vin Diesel or Dwayne Johnson. (Jaa's part in the international action flick remains unknown.)

"I have been a big fan of the Fast and Furious franchise," Jaa told The Hollywood Reporter. "The films are fast-paced, fun and keep the audience involved. There is a great mix of humor and action, something I really appreciate. There is no better film to be involved in for a first U.S. studio production."

James Wan is directing the movie, which will start shooting in September. Fast 7 already has Jason Statham as the villain Ian Shaw, in addition to the franchise's stars Vin Diesel and Paul Walker. Ronda Rousey also is in talks to come in for a cameo.

Fast and Furious 7 is set to premiere in theaters July 2014.
