'Grey's Anatomy' Season 10 Spoilers: Premiere VIDEO Shows Richard Webber Dying?
A promotional video for the season 10 premiere of Grey's Anatomy, titled Seal Our Fate, revealed one person dying in Seattle's Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital - and it might be Richard Webber.
The season 9 finale left fans guessing after a storm cut off power at the hospital and Webber (James Pickens Jr.) was seen lying unconscious in the hospital basement after getting electrocuted. The new promo video showed that the storm is not over yet and the doctors may lose one of their own in their recovery process
'Grey's Anatomy' Season 10 Premeire PHOTO of Meredith & Derek with Baby Bailey Revealed
No one will tell Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) what happened while she was busy having a baby and the clip showed Webber lying on the floor and then being pushed around the hospital in a stretcher. His body is then shown in the operation room as he is being worked on by his fellow attendees. Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) told Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh) "He's going to die if we don't do anything!" and she replied, "I own this hospital. You work for me."
The clip ends with Owen Wilson (Kevin McKidd) calling the time of death - though it is not confirmed for whom - as Callie Torres (Sara Ramirez) and Derek Shepard (Patrick Dempsey) have tears in their eyes.
Sanda Oh Leaving 'Grey's Anatomy:' 'I Really Feel Like I Gave It My All'
Enstars confirmed in August that Webber's character will in fact be featured in season 10 of the medical series, evident from a Twitter photo the show's creator/executive producer uploaded on Aug. 14. Shonda Rhimes posted, and then quickly deleted, a WhoSay photo of the cast at the 200th table read where Pickens Jr. sat among the show's stars. The photo proved that Richard will be featured in season 10 - at least for the 200th episode.
After Rhimes deleted the photo she tweeted "crap," later deleting that post as well.
