Victoria's Secret Angel Lindsay Ellingson Talks Goldie Knots Jewelry Line During New York Fashion Week [EXCLUSIVE]
Supermodel Lindsay Ellingson is using her celebrity status in a positive way and created a jewelry line aimed to benefit abandoned pets.
"I'm just such an animal lover, and it breaks your heart every time you see a stray dog or cat," she told EnStars at the 2013 Style Awards on Sept. 4. "So I just want to contribute as much as I can."
The Victoria's Secret model developed a line of bracelets under her company, Goldie Knots. The pieces, all handmade by fringe artists, are created using silk and 14-karat white, yellow and rose gold.
The 28-year-old designed each bracelet herself and donates a portion of the proceeds to the non-profit organization, American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animal (ASPCA).
Ellingson, who wore a red Sophie Theallet gown to the event, spoke highly of her own pet, a seven-pound Cockapoo named Carly. Her four-legged friend travels with the model wherever her work takes her.
"She's very small, so she fits in her little bag. She knows when we are traveling, and she runs in there ready to go," Ellingson said. "She sleeps and she's a great traveler which is perfect for me."
The bracelets, which were inspired by the trends she's observed on these travels, range from $150 to $250.
"I wear them everyday and find that it's fun to mix and match them. They also make great additions to my current pieces," she wrote on the Goldie Knots website.
