Gwyneth Paltrow Accident, Actress and Daughter Apple Barely Avoid Scooter Crash in LA VIDEO
What started out for a nice mother/daughter scooter ride nearly turned into a tragic accident for Gwyneth Paltrow and her daughter Apple.
The near miss occurred last Wednesday in Los Angeles. Powering down the road on her shiny white Vespa, the Iron Man 3 actress pulled out in front of a school bus while attempting to go around a public transport bus that was stopped by the side of the road, according to footage obtained by the Daily Mail.
Luckily, the school bus driver hit the breaks just in time. With her arms wrapped around her mother's waist, 9-year-old Apple managed to stay seated as Paltrow navigated the tight squeeze.
Paltrow's husband, Coldplay singer Chris Martin, soon drove up behind his wife as they waited at a traffic light. Seated on his own Vespa, Martin was accompanied by the couple's 7-year-old son, Moses.
The actress, who will turn 41 at the end of this month, choose this summer to move her family back to her home state. Her young family has spent much of their time in London but a source for the Daily Mail claims Paltrow wanted to be closer to her family, at least for a few years,
"Gwyneth has loved living in London but America will always be home and she wants to be closer to her family," the source said in July. "Her mother and brother live in California and she plans to spend the next couple of years in Los Angeles."
Paltrow will next appear in Mortdecai.
