Canelo Alvarez vs Floyd Mayweather LIVE STREAM: Watch Boxing Online At 9PM ET
The wait is finally over for what should be a fight for the ages as Floyd "Money" Mayweather will take on Saul "Canelo" Alvarez in a battle between two undefeated boxers.
The fight was originally made official during the spring after Alvarez improved his record to 42-0-1. However, Mayweather's record is even more impressive, winning every single one of his matches with a 42-0 stat sheet.
The two boxers faced off in 10 different cities while on a two-country press tour. They also were shown in a Showtime documentary series called All Access, which came to an end on Wednesday.
Large numbers are expected for the respective bout, and it the revenue stream coming in could reach 2.4 million buys, according to CBS Sports.
"It's hard to predict where we'll end up on this fight. De La Hoya/Mayweather was a perfect storm. Oscar was at the peak. Floyd was just starting to make a lot of noise. You had the perfect good guy/bad guy storyline. It's hard to replicate that," said Showtime top boxing executive Stephen Espinoza.
