Katy Perry Elle Magazine 2013 UK Interview: Talks Rihanna Pot Smoking & New Album 'Prism'
Katy Perry had a few jokes to say about her good friend Rihanna in an interview with Canada's Elle.
The 28-year-old covered the magazine's October 2013 issue and quipped about the Unapologetic singer's appearance in her inside spread.
"I think that Rihanna always looks so fresh and I'm like, 'How do you do that? We all know how much pot you smoke,'" she told the magazine. "And you don't sleep because you're on Instagram at four o'clock in the morning. I'll get her secret for you."

Perry said that she uses another method to help keep up with her physical looks.
"I make sure to give myself a break," she said. "I learned this thing called Transcendental Meditation, which I do as much as I possibly can. It's 20 minutes and you're supposed to do it twice a day, but I only do it once every other day, but anyway, it works. People say you should work out 30 minutes a day, none of us works out 30 minutes a day."

The singer also spoke about her age and said she's letting go "of childish things" and learning the "wisdom that comes with age." Her ideology is also be expressed in her upcoming album, Prism.
She called the record "the 28-year-old version of me" and made comparisons to her last album, Teenage Dream, in a recent interview with Elvis Duran And The Morning Show of New York City's Z100 radio station.
"Last record, which was very fun and kind of like a cartoon character. This record is a lot more stripped down," she said. "It's the essential oils of me represented."
The new album's lead single Roar shot to No. 1 on Billboard after it was released in September. It overthrew Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines from its lengthy time at the top spot.
Prism, Perry's fourth studio album, hits stores Oct. 22.
