Actress Lily Rabe will play alongside Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson in the last two film adaptations of The Hunger Games.

"It's official! Please welcome Lily Rabe as 'Commander Lyme' to the cast of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Parts 1&2," the film's Facebook account posted on Monday.

Commander Lyme was once a victor, who is now rebelling against the Capitol. The movie's wiki page describes her as "a strong independent woman" who is "willing to do anything for District 2 to become aligned with the other districts against the Capitol."

The 31-year-old is best known for her role on FX's American Horror Story and she's also starred in the films, All Good Things, What Just Happened and No Reservations.

While some fans commented on the Facebook announcement and said Rabe doesn't fit their idea of what Lyme should look like, others welcomed the new addition.

"Love her in American Horror Story, so I'm sure I will love her in Hunger Games!!" wrote one on the Facebook page.

"Amazing actress! The casting director needs a standing ovation! Great actors! Wow!!!," wrote another.

Julianne Moore was also recently confirmed for Lionsgate's third and fourth installments. The 52-year-old will play President Alma Coin, the movie's main antagonist and the leader of the rebellion against President Snow.

"Thanks everybody for the congratulations - I am thrilled to be joining the amazing cast of #TheHungerGames for #Mockingjay!" the actress tweeted on Sept. 13.

The groundbreaking final novel follows Lawrence's character, Katniss Everdeen and her determination to obliterate the Capitol once and for all.

Mockingjay part 1 comes to U.S. theaters on Nov. 21, 2014 and the second premieres on Nov. 20, 2015. In the meantime, fans can catch Hunger Games: Catching Fire when it's released on Nov. 22.
