MTV isn't slated to continue Season three of its 2011 breakout hit Awkward until Oct. 22, but that hasn't stopped the network from releasing an official trailer full of spoilers, according to breathecast.

The biggest bombshell dropped in this new trailer involves the second-favorite couple at Palos Hills High School, referred to as Jakeara, and made up of Jenna's best friend Tamara (Jillian Rose Reed) and Matty's best friend Jake (Brett Davern).

Season 2 left off with Jenna (Ashley Rickards) cheating on boyfriend Matty (Beau Mirchoff), by kissing Collin (Nolan Gerard Funk). Season three's second half will pick up the aftermath as Jenna can't keep away from Collin, and her affair becomes public.

In the newest trailer, when Jake finds out that Tamara knew Jenna was cheating on Matty but didn't say anything , he breaks up with her, making Tamara a victim of Jenna's consequences. Could this be what causes Tamara to tell Jenna to "take care?" Will Jenna lose not only the guy she's been chasing since the show's premiere, but her best friend as well?

The newest trailer also hints that Jenna may have become even too much for her parents to handle, especially her own not-so-perfect mother, who has had enough, even threatening to kick Jenna out after her attitude changes greatly while she sees Collin.

The network has been providing various teaser videos since the season's first half ended in June, including one featuring Jenna's friends attempting to create a video to presumably help her through her new identity crisis. Another teaser showed a scene where Matty presents Jenna with an awkward gift. You can watch those here.
