Miley Cyrus Twitter Returns 'Smiling' After Liam Hemsworth Engagement Called Off & Breakup Reports
After taking a break for a few days from the social media website, Miley Cyrus returned to Twitter on Tuesday, the same day it went public that she called off her engagement to Liam Hemsworth.
Reps from both parties confirmed the couple ended their engagement a little over a year after Hemsworth, 23, proposed to the singer, 20, with a Neil Lane ring in the summer of 2012. The couple met on the set of their 2010 film The Last Song, in which they played lovers on-screen. Perhaps a sign that things were going downhill, Cyrus unfollowed Hemsworth on Twitter earlier in September, Enstars reported. The couple was last seen publicly together on Aug. 8 at the Los Angeles premiere of his movie Paranoia.

Both stars have not made mention of their called off engagement on social media. Cyrus continues to focus on her music and on the day that the media reported about her breakup, she chose to only talk about her career on Twitter.
