The trailer for Miley Cyrus' new MTV documentary, Miley Cyrus: The Movement, was released on Sept. 19.

The special one hour documentary will air on MTV on Oct. 2 at 10 p.m. EST. The documentary mostly captures Cyrus behind the scenes at the VMAs and tries to capture her newfound identity.

"Everytime I do anything, I want to remember, this is what seperates me from everybody else," Cyrus declares her motivations as an artist in the trailer.

The video shows her interacting with excited fans, her photo shoot for MTV, hanging out with her mother in an airplane, rehearsing for the show, and on the road. In the clip, Cyrus talks about her influences saying that she was brought up around a lot of different music and her dad used to play the likes of Elvis Presley, Joan Jett, and Etta James, when she was a child.

She also discusses her new persona as an artist suggesting that, in a way, this is a new beginning for her. "I have the freedom to do whatever I want because I am starting as a new artist now," she says.

She is also seen hanging out with with Britney Spears in the recording studio discussing how everybody takes the VMAs so seriously, saying, "I just want to come out and like, shoot a hot dog gun. I just want to have fun!"

Cyrus also seems to know what she's doing, it seems like she already anticipated, and was prepared for, the kind of attention her performance was going to get: "You might as well make them talk for, like, two weeks, rather than two seconds."

The tile for the documentary sources from a statement Cyrus makes in the clip: "There is an army and we are all part of the movement."
