Britney Spears Relates to Miley Cyrus, "I Remember That Age"; Says Cyrus is "on Fire Right Now" [VIDEO]
Britney Spears showed support for Miley Cyrus and also spoke about her residency at Las Vegas' Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino during an interview with Extra's Mario Lopez.
Lopez spent a considerable amount of time speaking to Spears about her relationship with Cyrus. He told Spears that he believed that the two of them connected really well because of the kind of media attention they received at around the same time in their careers.
"I remember that age when I was just transferring into my career and doing more controversial things and stuff like that, and the energy you feel in all this, just kind of chaos going on. She is on fire right now. She is just a ball full of energy," she said.
Lopez went on to cite some of Spears' most controversial moments -- like the video for I'm a Slave 4 U in which Spears had a massive snake wrapped around her neck and the famous Madonna kiss at the MTV VMAs. He went on to say that the VMAs was the kind of space where an artist was "supposed to be a little provocative" and "have a little bit of fun."
"I think it's time to embellish a little on the creative side of what you do and bring the artistic side of what you do, out," she said.
Lopez also talked about the reason for Spears' being in Vegas, her two-year residency at Planet Hollywood's Resort and Casino.
Earlier this week, Spears made quite the entrance in Vegas, landing in a helicopter in the middle of the desert with a thousand Britney look alikes -- dressed in a her sexy school girl uniform from Baby One More Time -- waiting to greet her.
She spoke about her tortuous fifty minute helicopter ride, which she found hard to endure as she was running on only 45 minutes of sleep.
While discussing the experience they were planning on creating at Planet Hollywood -- with costumes and a "party vibe" -- she said she wanted people to feel like they were in the show with her. Billboard has some exclusive details about Spears' residency at Planet Hollywood.
