Ashton Kutcher's Popchips Ad Angers Viewers for Racism [VIDEO]
Ashton Kutcher sparked criticism on the web after appearing with brown face in an ad for Popchips.
The ad parodies dating websites. The "Two and a Half Men" star portrays Swordfish, Nigel, Darl and wears brown face for Raj, a Bollywood producer looking for love.
"Wow, Ashton Kutcher Brownface racism," wrote the website Das Racist on its Twitter page urging people to call Popchips to pull the ad.
"They got to pull this s--t and apologize, that's it," the site wrote on Twitter.
The company claimed it didn't intend to offend anybody with the ad campaign.
"The new Popchips worldwide dating video and ad campaign featuring four characters was created to provoke a few laughs and was never intended to stereotype or offend anyone," the company said in a statement, reports The Wrap.
