‘The Originals’ Cast: Marcel and Klaus to ‘flip roles?’ [VIDEO]
As the premiere date for The CW's The Originals inches closer, more spoilers keep getting revealed by the cast as they continue filming episodes and doing pre-premiere interviews.
The newest actor of the show to share some information is Charles Michael Davis, who will be playing Marcel Gerard on the show.
In an interview with examiner, Davis spilled on just how the dynamic will be between his character and Klaus Mikaelson.
"I think anyone that you invite into your house, you don't give them free reign. You don't put yourself aside, given that you've built the house," he said. "So that's the thing that he says, that Klaus is Marcel's guest. So he will be treated accordingly, like a guest."
According to Wetpaint.com, this is a switch in the dynamic for the two characters, as Marcel was once Klaus's protégé, but he now runs the city of New Orleans. Davis hinted that the flipping of the roles would cause a very interesting tension for the characters.
"Klaus has been out of New Orleans for a while," he said. "And it's like when a kid gets a new toy, and a friend comes over on the weekends. You know, I've been playing with this toy all week, and I know all the cool features, and all the shiny buttons. And then I show it to him-I show him my city-and then I take it away."
Davis also hinted at the truth between Marcel's relationship with Davina Claire's teenage witch who is imprisoned by Marcel.
"That will be answered very quickly. And it's very interesting, and I don't want to give anything away. It's a good storyline."
The Originals Premieres Oct. 3rd at 9:00 p.m. on The CW.
