Tina Fey and Amy Poehler stumbled on their way to the stage at the 65th Emmy Awards on Sunday to present an award together.

The actresses/comedians took the fall as part of their skit, as they and other previous award show hosts tried to give Neil Patrick Harris some pointers on how to host the Emmy Awards. Included in the bit were Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon and Conan O'Brian.

The two women previously hosted the Golden Globes together and on Sunday they gave out the award of Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series to Nurse Jackie's Merritt Wever.

They revealed on the red carpet prior to Sunday's show that they were approached to host the 2014 show. Shortly after her skit on stage, Fey and co-writer Tracey Wigfield took home the Emmy for Writing in a Comedy Series for the 30 Rock episode Last Lunch.

The list of Emmy presenters included Will Arnett, Alec Baldwin, Andre Braugher, Diahann Carroll, Bryan Cranston, Claire Danes, Emily Deschanel, Zooey Deschanel, Anna Faris, Heidi Klum, Queen Latifah, Jon Hamm, Tina Fey, Allison Janney, Jimmy Kimmel, Margo Martindale, Sofia Vergara, and Kerry Washington.

The 2013 Emmy Awards included a musical performances by Elton John and Carrie Underwood, and a choreography routine that featured Emmy-nominated dancers from Dancing With the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance.

The Primetime Emmys devoted a special segment to memorializing five significant people who died over the past TV season: actors James Gandolfini, Cory Monteith, Jean Stapleton, Jonathan Winters and producer David Goldberg.
