Justin Bieber Post Selena Gomez Split Spotted With Jacque Rae Pyles, She Talks Their Relationship Status
Justin Bieber's rumored girlfriend opened up about her current relationship status with the 19-year-old singer and also talked about how they met.
"Well I've actually known him since I was 14. I'm 19 now, so it's been five years," Jacque Rae Pyles told E! News on Sept. 20. "We met because I was in a girl group for Nick Cannon called School Girls and he was in the movie that we were filming, so from there we just became friends and hung out a lot, and it's just been growing since."
When asked if she and the Boyfriend singer have a "mentor relationship" or are "friends on the same level," Pyles hesitated for a moment before responding, "That's a hard question. Maybe mentorship."
"Just because of where his career is at, and where mine is at, he's definitely helpful and everything," she added.
Bieber and Pyles recently sparked dating rumors when they were photographed together at New York Fashion Week and then seen traveling to Las Vegas to catch the Floyd Mayweather vs. Canelo Alvarez boxing match. They were photographed clubbing together with other friends at 1 Oak in NYC on Sept. 8 and the following day at Griffin nightclub. She was also was seen hugging the superstar outside the "Funny or Die" studios in Los Angeles on Sept. 13.
Pyles also told the news outlet is she currently single.
"I am," she confessed, before sharing describing what she is looking for in a future boyfriend.
"You know I just like someone with a sense of humor," she said. "Someone that can make me laugh. Like if I'm down, they can just lift my spirits and make everything better."
She admitted Bieber possesses the qualities she likes in a guy and when asked whether she has plans to meet up with the Canadian in the near future, she replied, "Yes, definitely."
The last public relationship Bieber was in was with Selena Gomez. The former couple reportedly broke up in early 2013.
