Sony Xperia Z2 Release Date in April 2014? Xperia Z1 Sequel to Have 3GB of RAM, Reports Suggest
Rumors are swirling that Sony will release a new Android in April 2014 and the rumored Xperia Z2 phone is expected to be the company's greatest model yet.
The phone is said to include a 5.5-inch Full HD IGZO screen and have 540ppi. The Z2 will reportedly have a 3500 million power battery and contain 3GB of RAM. Sony's already released Xperia Z model only has 2GB of RAM. The upcoming phone is also said to be called KitKat.
Photos of what is assumed to be the phone have even leaked. View the photo here.
The report comes just a few weeks after the company announced the Xperia Z1 phone. As the follow-up to Xperia Z, the device has a 20.7 megapixel camera and comes in black, white and purple. The device is also reportedly waterproof.
"Amazing photos and videos. Innovative apps. And a fantastic screen experience. All wrapped inside the most elegant package. Discover how Xperia Z1 is the best smartphone imaginable," the company wrote about the phone.
MSN tech expert Jon R offered some advice for those interested in the Z2 and Z1.
"Looks like the Z2 is going to be pretty sweet but the Z1 already seems kind of awesome," he said in a video released on Saturday. "I wouldn't necessarily wait around for the Z2. If the Z1 is what you want, I say go buy it."
