Taylor Swift at 'Romeo and Juliet' Premiere in LA Steals the Spotlight [PHOTOS & VIDEO]
Taylor Swift showed up at the world premiere of the latest Romeo & Juliet film Tuesday night in Hollywood to support her friend Hailee Steinfeld, who played the lead female role, but all eyes were on the 23-year-old singer.
Swift's presence at the premiere came with the arrival of massive security after all the movie's stars had left the carpet, according to USA TODAY. She posed on the red carpet in a floral Reem Acra dress that she matched with low heels and red lips. She also took photos with Steinfeld, 16, who wore a Prabal Gurung black and white dress.
"We have been talking about her coming to this forever," Steinfeld told the publication about Swift's arrival at the premiere. "I have been wanting to show her the film for so long. I called her, (Swift) literally had just finished her tour. The fact she came out tonight means so much. I am so excited."
The two friends sat beside each other in the ArcLight Hollywood as Steinfeld's Juliet fell in love and eventually died in the film. Swift led the applause for her pal as the credits rolled, according to the reprt. The two were then inseparable at the after-party at Soho House in Los Angeles and together they partied until the morning.
The pair shared photos in January from their Paris vacation and spent Memorial Day weekend together at Swift's Rhode Island beach house with friend and Gossip Girl star Jessica Szohr..
Steinfeld told the October issue of Teen Vogue that she has Swift on speed dial and added, "Whether I'm a bit of an old soul or not, I am who I am, and that doesn't change, whether I'm with adults or with my friends."
Romeo & Juliet features Douglas Booth playing Romeo along with a cast that includes Ed Westwick, Stellan Skarsgård, Paul Giamatti and Damien Lewis. Downton Abbey writer and Academy Award winner Julian Fellowes produced the screenplay.
