Newark Mayor Corey Booker is in the middle of a scandal after he sent flirty Twitter message to a stripper.

According to The New York Daily News, the Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate has a secret admirer who describes herself as a "stripper model weirdo" and goes by the name Lynsie Lee, according to her official Twitter page.

The 44-year-old single has been engaging in some conversation with Lee via the social media site through direct message over the past year.

"I want @CoryBooker to plow me through the night . . . " Lee once tweeted to Booker according to BuzzFeed.

Back in October 2012, during Hurricane Sandy, Lee sent Booker a tweet about him staying at her home.

"@CoryBooker you're welcome to come stay in my bedroom if your home was affected by the hurricane . . . ;)" she tweeted.

Then in February, Booker reportedly sent Lee a direct message that read, "The West Coast Loves You, By West Coast, I Mean Me."

Lee responded with a smiley face, while Booker responder with "It's only fair."

Booker is obviously following Lee on Twitter.

On Thursday, Lee took to the social media site to indicate that she and Booker did nothing wrong.

"We did nothing wrong but exchange an innocent flirt almost a year ago. Media is inept," later adding, "I'll call all of you reporters back when I'm done pooping I swear!"

Booker has never been married, a personal life aspect he's started to open up on the campaign trial.

"I have not settled down with a life partner," he told The Washington Post last month, a fact that is to his "great dismay."

He recently also addressed rumors of his sexual preference.

"People who think I'm gay, some part of me thinks it's wonderful. Because I want to challenge people on their homophobia. I love seeing on Twitter when someone says I'm gay, and I say, 'So what does it matter if I am? So be it. I hope you are not voting for me because you are making the presumption that I'm straight," he said.
