A snippet of what sounds like a new Miley Cyrus song called Drive hit the web.

"If forever's out the door, I'll ignore when you call," she sings in the short sound bite. "Drive hard into the night. We can drop the keys off in the morning."

The track, which appears on her upcoming fourth album, Bangerz, could indirectly be referencing Liam Hemsworth. The couple, who got engaged in 2012, broke up earlier in September.

"I wrote it while I was working on Valentine's Day - emotionally it was such a hard time," she told Fashion magazine in the November 2013 issue. "It is about needing to leave someone but not really wanting to completely cut yourself off from the relationship... It's a time when you want to leave but you can't. It's also about moving on."

Sources claimed that Cyrus' racy performance with Robin Thicke at the 2013 VMAs was a reason for her breakup with Hemsworth. Whether that's the case or not, the 20-year-old has no regrets about the controversial act.

"I'm proud of that performance," she told the magazine. "I feel like music is really stale right now. I could have guessed what a lot of artists would have done that night. The reaction to what I did has been insane. I think it was a breath of fresh air! For the people that don't get it, you weren't meant to."

Bangerz is expected for release on Oct. 8.
