The 2013 BET Hip-Hop Awards taped at the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center in Atlanta, Ga. on Saturday.

It was hosted by rap legend Snoop Dogg and featured a performance by Kendrick Lamar who led with the most nominations this year. Lamar performed a medley that included his hit singles B---h Don't Kill My Vibe, Swimming Pools (Drank), Poetic Justice and his guest rap on Big Sean's Control. The rest of the performance lineup included the year's chart-topping singles by 2 Chainz, French Montana, Rick Ross, Meek Mill, DJ Khaled, School Boy Q, Jay Rock, Yo Gotti, Rich Homie Quan and members of TDE.

The premiere broadcast will feature the infamous Hip-Hop Awards Cyphers. Lyricists from some of hip hop's finest groups from around the country and independent labels will spew their best freestyle rhymes to show off their skills with their respective entourage in tow.

A cypher featuring 90s rap icon Lil' Kim was performed on Sept. 28.

Cypher 4 - Slaughterhouse: Joell Ortiz, Crooked I, Royce Da 5'9, Joe Budden

Cypher 5 - TDE: ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, Isaiah Rashad, Kendrick Lamar

Cypher 6 - Real Husbands Of Hollywood: Chocolate Drop (Kevin Hart), Nick Cannon, Nelly, Boris Kodjoe, Duane Martin, JB Smoove

Cypher 7 - Asia Sparks, Bad Lucc, Problem, Astro

The year's highest honor went to 80s rapper MC Lyte. She will receive the lifetime achievement honor called the I Am Hip Hop Award.

BET's HHA will have its premiere broadcast on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 8 p.m.
