The 24-year-old's album title, X, signifies the amount of years he's been working in the industry, he recently told AXS TV's Skee Live. He also said that he intends to make it a dual record but is still waiting for clearance from his label.

"On the album you'll get 10 songs, but hopefully it's two in each one, so it's really 20 songs," he said. "I try to give my fans a lot."

Fans can expect to hear Nicki Minaj, Kelly Rowland, Rihanna and few unnamed surprises on the record. Brown also collaborated with Kendrick Lamar on the song Autumn Leaves and he explained what makes the rapper's verse unique.

"He actually wrote from the mindset of a critic, if a critic was sitting there talking to me, and then he's coaching me through it," said Brown, who shot part of the track's music video in Hawaii. "It's amazing how lyrical he is and how he can put it together and paint a picture just by rapping."

In a previous interview with Rolling Stone, Brown also explained what makes his upcoming record different than his previous albums.

"Making X I found out who I am," he told the magazine in March. "This album has a lot of substance, from the subject matter and the situations to how it deals with love. It's really derived from personal experiences. Then again, I always like mixing reality with art."
