'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' Season 6: Joseline Hernandez, 'Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta' Star, To Join Nene Leakes & Kenya Moore?
The Real Housewives of Atlanta's official website indicates there will not be any new cast members joining the show for season 6, but Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta star Joseline Hernandez' Instagram suggests otherwise.
The possibilty that the married former stripper might join the upcoming season of RHOA was first hinted in August. Hernandez captioned a "selfie" where she mentioned she had a meeting to discuss landing a spot on a new reality show.
"This Morning Y'all I Had To Meet Up With A Couple New Friends Today Thats Helping Me Get On A Reality Show! Thank You So Much God!:))," she wrote on Instagram.
Less than a week later, Hernandez promoted RHOA star Porsha Stewart's new hair extension line, possibly in an act of team camraderie, on the same social media site. The LHHA star captioned the revealing picture of herself topless: "Everyone Please Support My Girl @PorshaDStewart With Her New Hair Line @GoNakedHair Its 100% Virgin Hair Indian!"
By mid-September, she revealed she hung out with several members of the cast of RHOA.
She captioned a group Instagram photo, "I Am At This All White Party With A Couple Of Girls From #TheRealHousewivesOfAtl @CynthiaBailey10 @Neneleakes @porshadstewart."
Hernandez also shared a picture of herself with her husband, music producer Stevie J who also appears on LHHA alongside RHOA star Peter Thomas.
Enstars reported in May that an "extremely credible" source said that Bravo network executives are secretly trying to sign the former stripper.
The insider told Media Takeout Hernandez's role will at first be "ancillary" meaning she will be a part-time cast member. It would be similar to the arrangement for Nene Leakes' friend Marlo, who appeared infrequently during season 4. If the LHHA star's addition works out to increase ratings, she will be brought on as a full-time cast member.
As for why Bravo are considering Hernandez, the insider said executives fear that season 6 of TRHOA may be Leakes' last with the reality show. The network would like to introduce a new cast member who is just as strongly "opinionated" as Leakes.
In August, Wendy Williams asked THROA star Kenya Moore about the rumors that Hernandez had joined the cast. .
"I highly doubt it, I don't think there's any truth to that rumor," Moore said during a phone call into The Wendy Williams Show.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 6 will premiere on Nov. 3 at 8 pm/& Central on Bravo
