To the excitement of its fans, AMC's hit zombie series, The Walking Dead, is set to make its return next weekend for season 4, which is set to feature the Governor (David Morrissey) in what seems to be a more prominent role as a series regular.

Executive producer of the program, Gale Anne Hurd, recently spoke to Zap2it about what's to come with the villain in the upcoming installment, acknowledging that the former Woodbury dictator has been kept out of season 4 promos for a legitimate reason.

"We did that for reason being we don't want people to focus too much on, 'Oh, you know, Season 4 is going to be exactly like Season 3.' Then all the questions are, 'Is he going to be in the first episode? How much of a focus is going to be on the Governor?'"

The Governor aside, the future episodes are set to feature the walkers as more of a dangerous threat.

AMC's The Walking Dead will be making its return for season 4 on Sunday, Oct. 13 at 9/8 p.m. Central Standard Time. To get the inside scoop on the popular TV series, be sure to keep checking back with Enstars. A promo video for the fourth season can be viewed below.
