‘Captain America The Winter Soldier’: No 'Leader And Follower' Relationship Occurring Between Superhero & Falcon? [PHOTO, NEWS]
Though the Falcon will be a prominent character in Captain America The Winter Soldier, he will not serve as a sidekick to the superhero in the way fans sometimes see with DC Comic figures
"It's interesting because a lot of people equate it to Batman and Robin," Anthony Mackie, who plays the Falcon in the new movie, said to Movie Fanatic about his character's dynamic with Captain America (Chris Evans). "The reality of it is it's more of a working relationship as opposed to a leader and follower."
Mackie also confirmed the close working relationship that will play out between his character with Captain America and the Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), the latter of which fought alongside the heroes in The Avengers.
"The three of us work really well together and we support each other," he said. "All of us are really different in our abilities and powers, so when we come together we make an awesome tandem."
Captain America: The Winter Soldier sees Steve Rogers adjusting to modern-day life in D.C. As Enstars previously reported, the events are set to occur roughly two years after the battle in New York that took place in The Avengers. Captain America will team up with Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, to battle a powerful yet shadowy enemy named The Winter Soldier.
The movie's cast ncludes Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill, Frank Grillo as Brock Rumlow, Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, and Emily VanCamp as Agent 13.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier hits theaters April 4, 2014.
