Amanda Bynes remains silent on Twitter after she was brought into the Miley Cyrus and Sinead O'Connor feud.

Cyrus dissed the Irish 90s singer via Twitter and posted, "Before Amanda Bynes.... There was...." along with a picture of a series of tweets from O'Connor's old Twitter account when she suffered a mental breakdown last year due to having bipolar disorder.

The feud began when Cyrus told Rolling Stone magazine that her Wrecking Ball video was inspired by Sinead O'Connor's video for Nothing Compares To You.

O'Connor then released an open letter on Facebook to Cyrus that said, "I am extremely concerned for you that those around you have led you to believe, or encouraged you in your own belief, that it is in any way 'cool' to be naked and licking sledgehammers in your videos. It is in fact the case that you will obscure your talent by allowing yourself to be pimped, whether it's the music business or yourself doing the pimping."

That's when Cyrus fired back with the Amanda Bynes comment.

O'Connor took to Facebook again to defend herself and Bynes. "You have posted today tweets of mine which are two years old, which were posted by me when I was unwell and seeking help so as to make them look like they are recent. In doing so you mock myself and Amanda Bynes for having suffered with mental health issues and for having sought help...I hope that you will apologize to Amanda Bynes and to any person who has been wounded by your mockery of those who have suffered."

A source close to the Bynes family told Radar Online she was formally diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. The source said, "Amanda can lead a long, normal life, as long as she takes her medication...she's responding to the medications she is being given to treat her dual diagnosis."

It's not clear when Amanda Bynes checked into The Canyon rehab center, but on Sept. 30 TMZ posted an article reporting she entered "three weeks ago" after leaving UCLA's medical center where she was getting psychiatric evaluation. She posted her last tweet, "Drake is gorgeous" on July 19th.

Bynes' parents released a statement earlier this week and said, "she's making great strides towards recovery."
